The Role of Academic Emotion Regulation and Resilience in Predicting Students’ Academic Burnout

Objective: The current study aimed to investigate the role of Emotional Regulation (ER) and resilience in predicting students' academic burnout. Methods: This was a descriptive correlational study. statistical population included all female secondary school students 10th-grade humanities experimental sciences (N=305) second semester 2018-2019 Shabestar City, Iran. Accordingly, sample 100 individuals selected by cluster sampling method. To collect required data, Academic Burnout Questionnaire (Breso et al., 1997), Emotion (ERQ; Gross & John, 2003), Samuels' Resilience Scale (2004) were used. Results: collected data analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient regression analysis methods. obtained results indicated that ER explained 37% total variance burnout examined students. F-value prediction significantly based on participants (P=0.001). Conclusion: As per present study, long-term planning increase explored variables will be an essential step preventing
